⁷ So ^(A)Saul struck the Amalekites, from ^(B)Havilah as you go to ^(C)Shur, which is ^[a]east of Egypt. ⁸ And he seized ^(D)Agag the king of the Amalekites alive and ^(E)devoted to destruction all the people with the edge of the sword. ⁹ But Saul and the people ^(F)spared Agag and the best of the sheep, the oxen, the fatlings, the lambs, and all that was good, and they were not willing to devote them to destruction; but everything despised and worthless, that they utterly destroyed.
